If you've cached in Montana, especially in the central part of the state, you've no doubt seen the name "Montana Scarecrow". If you've attended events over the last few years in GF, Helena, Bozeman, Missoula, Billings (etc.), you've probably put a face to the name when you met the guy. If you've found more than 30 caches...you've probably found one or more of the Scarecrow's hides. If you haven't met him... you need to attend this event. If you have met him.... you need to join us to roast, toast and celebrate Montana Scarecrow's 1000 find and all the work he's put into making geocaching what it is in Montana.
Now, we aren't claiming that Montana Scarecrow is anything special. In fact, we don't think he actually deserves kudos from any of us just because he hides and maintains a few(110) caches for us to find, puts out a cachers newsletter and organizes fun events for cachers around the state. We do however, believe that he has a unacknowledged mean streak and an evil twisted mind that makes finding some of his hides a frustrating and dangerous endeavor. Each of us probably has a story (or two) about how Scarecrow has used that demented brain of his to cause us to doubt our geocaching abilities with his hides. We believe it is time to come together and let Montana Scarecrow know, in "no holds barred" terms, what we think of him!
To that end we invite you to the town where it all began for this event celebrating the man who signs your logs "Montana Scarecrow". This event will be his 1000th find and he needs our help to celebrate his journey to this milestone. We invite friends, soon to be friends and even random weirdos who happen to be in the area, to join us for a round of "roasts and toasts"! Fun will be had by all... even the guest of honor.
The Event will be held at Taco Treat-Amigo Lounge Down stairs meeting room, 1200 7th Street South Great Falls on April 14, 2012. Noon to???
Taco Treat-Amigo Lounge is a family friendly resturant so bring the whole gang.
