CACHE NO. 4 – THE HEN HOUSE

This cache is part of the “Chicken Run” series of 7 caches placed around the small rural village of Fauls Green in North Shropshire. If caches are completed in order, all can be accomplished in 1 day with a lovely 2.25 mile circular walk through local countryside offering fantastic views of neighbouring Hawkstone. Can you be the first to find them all & find the Prize Egg?

Fauls Green (or Faulsgreen) is a small village situated 4 miles away from Prees in rural Shropshire. The village name is commonly abbreviated as 'Fauls'. The Fauls Holy Emmanuel church (1856) is located within the village where parking is available for approx 3 cars, Parking co-ordinates are as follows:

Hidden within Caches 1 thru 6 are the North & West co-ordinates for the final bonus cache “THE PRIZE EGG”

From Cache No. 5, head across the road onto another well defined footpath which begins as a concrete farm track. From this point on your right will be lovely view of Hawkstone Park. On a clear day the Monument standing over 100 ft high commemorating Sir Rowland Hill can clearly be seen. The Park was used to represent parts of Narnia in the BBC’s TV adaptation of C. S. Lewis's books for the battlegrounds in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe in 1988 and Prince Caspian a year later.
