Go for a walk or drive a road less traveled and come out with some smiles and smileys. Just in time for the 2012 Leap Year Meet N Greet GC3B5T9.
This will take you to an area between two wetlands areas and will give you easier access to compete the loop hike that we have set up. Along the way you will see some huge root wads from wind felled trees, probably from the Columbus day storm back in 1962, some of the roof wads have a height of 25 feet of more and you are only seeing the roots that were exposed the other half is still in the ground. It took quite a wind to topple these mighty giants.
This cache series has been set up in a loop that is about 3 ½ miles long. There will be some brush whacking to do to complete the loop. There is some elevation change along this route but it is not too bad.
This area that these caches are in is part of the Washington Department of Natural Recourses management area and to drive the road system with a motor vehicle you will need to have a Discovery Pass for your vehicle. It is OK to walk, hike,, ride your bike or a horse on this property without a pass.
