Geocache Description:

This cache will bring you to a little known historic treasure in Rockaway Borough.

The Morris Canal went right through the middle of Rockaway Borough. This cache is located above a beautiful stone arch bridge that is hardly noticeable at all to the casual passer-by. This bridge once carried the Morris Canal over Fox's Brook. The bridge is now used to carry the road into the parking lot.

Do take the time to get a good look at both ends of the aquaduct. The south end gives you a nice clear view of the arch. The north end gives you an interesting perspective because you can walk out on the remnants of a small dam that is right in front of the aquaduct archway.

The cache itself is right along side of the roadway. There is no need to do any climbing or to touch any of the historic masonry on the arch. Muggles abound at certain times!
