Geocache Description:

What an opportunity to give back to another Georgia State Park & promote caching at the same time!

Saturday, February 25th from 10:00 till Noon. Come out and join the Pine Mountain Trail Association for a Roadside Trash Pickup along Georgia Highway 190 through the heart of FDR State Park.

We'll meet at the main parking lot at the Park Office. Please be there before 10 to sign in. I'll have a GGA Banner for our meeting place & then we'll move on over to join the PMTA crew. How about we wear Geocaching T-shirts & especially any GGA materials and let them know who we are!

The following is from the PMTA advert:
------------------------
We will be having crews of 3-4 to a roadside (thus 6-8 to a crew per section) work just over a mile in two hours.
If we have upwards of 60-65 volunteers we'll have enough folks to do all the planned sections from ALT 85 near the WJSP-TV tower, back toward the park office and crews starting at the the end of 190 at the Country Store on US 27 back toward the office... and do Dowdell Knob Road.
Once we finish up at noon.....we'll all meet back at the park office parking lot and LUNCH will be served
to all the volunteers. Pizza, BBQ sandwiches, water and soft drinks.
There will a couple prizes for first four strangest things found by individuals.
Last time we did a road side pickup, someone found a bowling ball and a rubber alligator.
NOW.....the big thing on this ROAD SIDE TRASH PICKUP day is we have LOTS and LOTS of volunteers and folks let me know they are coming so we can plan for food and crew plans.
What do you need to bring? Gloves & orange vest if you have one (we'll have one if you don't).
Some folks say they are going to bring an empty plastic 5 gal bucket, put trash in it then empty it in trash bags.
-----------------------------
Log a Will Attend here and I'll be passing the numbers along to the PMTA.
