KUNAT STATE SCHOOL (SS 3294)
The school opened as the KOOEM EAST School in 1904. In 1915 the school name was changed to KUNAT.
It closed briefly in 1934 and reopened again 1951, then closed in 1954.
The Kunat Hall was used for a school around 1956. The hall was then sold and moved to Lake Boga. It was sold for demolition in 1982.

The district post office and telephone exchange was operated from the family home which once existed in the standing block of timber on the rise across the paddock from where you stand. The post office opened on 14th July 1900 and closed in 1949.
