Geocache Description:

** This cache IS at the above listed coordinates. **

When you go out geocaching, how much planning do you put into your day? Do you simply grab your phone or GPSr and hit the trails, or do you plan out each and every detail of your trip?

The goal of this challenge is to reward the well-planned geocacher. If you use any of the geocaching analytical websites and programs, you know you can dissect your finds many different ways. Well, I use MyGeocachingProfile and it provides some basic “achievements” for my caching adventures. The “achievements” I enjoy the most show my “Well Rounded Day.” [Note: You do not need to use any analytical programs to complete this challenge]

This challenge involves three (3) parts: Cache type, Container type and Difficulty/Terrain.

Cache Type: There are many different types of caches, each identified on geocaching.com with a different icon: Traditional, Multi, Other, Virtual, Webcam, Letterbox Hybrid, Event, Mega Event, Block Party, Wherigo, GPS Adventures Exhibit, Groundspeak HQ, CITO and several others that are no longer available (and maybe others that have yet to be designed). **Sorry, benchmarks do not qualify for this challenge.

Container Type: Many cachers think there are only five container sizes, but at this time there are actually seven (7): Micro, Small, Regular, Large, Other, Not Listed and Virtual.

Difficulty/Terrain: Each cache is assigned a difficulty and terrain rating so cachers can understand the relative difficulty associated with a cache. There are 81 different combinations of terrain and difficulty ratings, comprised of 9 different ratings for each: 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5, 4, 4.5 and 5.

The Challenge:
1) You must find, attend or otherwise note an affirmative act for 8 different cache types in a single calendar day. To quality, the cache must have its own icon that publishes on the list of finds at geocaching.com (see your statistics tab or the list above). [Note: traditional benchmarks and the new challenges are excluded from this challenge]
2) You must find, attend or otherwise note an affirmative act for ALL seven (7) container types in a single calendar day.
3) You must find enough caches, such that by the end of a single calendar day you have found, attended or otherwise noted an affirmative act at least six (6) of the nine (9) Difficulty ratings AND at least six (6) of the nine (9) Terrain ratings. [Note: don’t think Fizzy Challenge here (D/T matrix), as you only can count each Difficulty or Terrain level once*]
4) You must accomplish #1, #2 AND #3 on the same day. [For me, that was 8/20/11.]
5) Prior finds are OK.
6) This cache cannot count toward your Insanely Well Rounded Day, although you can claim it on the same day you satisfy this requirements (if you are that good of a planner, adding this to the route shouldn't be a problem, right?).
7) Post your “results” with your log (including the date, which cache types, and D/T ratings). I will only delete your log if your results don’t pass muster.

That’s it. Pretty simple, eh? The actual hide rating for this cache is D=1.5, T=1.5. Now, get out there, find those caches and claim this challenge!

***Congrats to alohacrazy5 and korsmofamily on the FTF and RavensRevenge on the STF***

* For example. Lets say you found 13 caches that have the (D/T) ratings of:
(1.0/1.0)
(1.0/1.0)
(1.5/1.0)
(2.5/1.0)
(2.0/2.5)
(4.0/1.5)
(2.5/1.0)
(5.0/3.5)
(3.0/5.0)
(1.0/1.0)
(1.5/4.5)
(2.0/3.0)
(1.0/4.0)

In the example above you would have found 7 different difficulty ratings (1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 4 and 5) and 8 different terrain ratings (1, 1.5, 2.5, 3, 3.5, 4, 4.5 and 5) for a total of 15 different ratings for both Difficulty and Terrain. I am asking you to find 6 each for both Difficulty and Terrain (three less than the example above).

If you would like to check your history to see if you qualify for this challenge, you can visit this checker. Just be sure to check your results to validate you have met the requirements. Thank you to "Pleu" for setting this up.
