Mother Nature can create such beauty. Do we look as often as we should?
As I walked this portion of the Pruitt Trail, always thought there should be a few more caches. It is a very scenic walk, what better then add a few caches!
All except two of the caches in this series are located just a short distance off the Pruitt and Ross Prairie HIKING TRAILS. No bikes or horses allowed on these trails. There are bike and horse trails that parallel the hiking trails but make the caches more difficult. PLEASE REMEMBER TO BRING DRIKING WATER ALONG!
You can do a few of these caches or walk all the way from Pruitt Trailhead parking off of Hwy 484 to Hwy 200. The round trip is about 12 miles. Bring a friend, spouse or stranger and park one vehicle at Pruitt Trailhead and another on Hwy 200 and the trip is cut in half. See coordinates for parking on Hwy 200.
Pruitt parking area off of 484 has port-a-potty and picnic tables. Alot of room to run. About 6 mile hike to Hwy 200.
You can also park a little ways down Hwy 200 at Ross Prairie Parking Lot. There are bathrooms and picnic tables and water. Take the loop around to caches. Longer hike this way then parking on Hwy 200.
