This cache was placed as part of the 2012 Albert Lea Big Freeze event.
Another creative container where finding the log is the easy part. Signing it? That's a different story.
No tree climbing necessary for this one; just a keen eye, and some sharp wits. No extra tools or materials required. Just use the attached tool. BYOP
Please be careful with the container and replace it as found. DO NOT REMOVE THE OUTER CONTAINER FROM IT'S PLACE. You only need to remove the outer cap. If you can't figure out how to retrieve the log with the attached tool, there's no shame in marking it a DNF and coming back another time for another attempt. Think this one through instead of just muscling through. At the end of the day brains over brawn will reveal a more exciting experience.
Update: 5/2012- Went out to do some maintenance today, and it's a lot swampier than it was when we hid the cache in February. Depending on rain fall you might be standing in a bit of water to retrieve the cache. This and the mosquito level may increase the terrain difficulty at some times.
