Pow Burn 4: Pow Bridge Traditional Cache
jigglybones: Went to check on this. The area around GZ is very overgrown and the cache has gone. Time to call it a day on this one.

The fourth in a series of 5 caches that follows the Pow Burn from Cummertrees to Powfoot. Each cache container is different. There is parking available in a layby just east of the Church, next to the start of the footpath.
Cummertrees used to have a station which is understandably closed these days as is the Church which is a great shame as it boasts a wonderful lych gate.
Powfoot is a pleasant village on the Solway with fine views and plentiful birdlife. It's probably most famous for its golf course these days which is in the top 100 Scottish courses.
Most of the coastline is an SSSI which means that it is a cache free zone. Do follow the burn to the sea front to see the best bit of the village. To complete the series, cross the bridge and return to Cummertrees on the other side of the burn.
The path linking the two villages is well covered by trees and does unfortunately get very muddy.
A pen/pencil and probably tweezers are required.
