This old Cabin "was" the hub of activities during "Biathlon Training and Race Days", Santa Ski Events, Moonlite Ski Events, etc. With the new Biathlon Range, this site will be less busy but still hosts some events such as "Santa Ski".
The cache is a small lock & lock box with pencils, lock book and small articles.
This is a great place in the western portion of the Caledonia Nordic Ski Club area of Otway.
Whenever I pass the site while skiing I think what a neat place it is.
The intent is to get people off the couch and out into the freash air. Winter Cross Country Skiing, Snowshoeing, Winter Hiking (keep to the side of the groomed trails please). Area is also very popular in summer for mountain biking and hiking.
In preparation for the "2015 Winter Games" the cabin will soon be converted to a "Warm Up Cabin" and loose much of its current hustle and bustle with people.
