This is part of the 'Slight Detour' series of caches placed specifically for the Essex Camping Event 2012. Anyone attending the Camping Event 2012 can claim a joint FTF on the caches in this series.
The cache is a nano, look carefully and you should spot it easily enough. BYOP & tweasers too!
This series is an interesting and varied route in its own right, but if you are walking the ECE (Essex Camping Event 2012) St Peter's Ring, and think the 18 miles may be too far in one go, then this detour gives you more options on the length of walk you could complete.
The route between #3 and #4 takes you across the field and is not very clear so please check your map. If you walk about 10 feet east along the unmade road you should see a trail through the crops which leads you to the tractor tracks through the field. On the opposite side of the field is a metal gate. The footpath marker is to the right of that gate; only visible as a slight bump in the hedge height between the two small trees. It does becomes a bit clearer as you get closer, but you won't see the marker post from this side. You should see a path towards it through the crops from the left side tractor track as you approach the hedge and a narrow gap through the hedge is where you need to head next. The footpath marker is partially obscured by the hedge, even when you are right next to it!
If you are heading northwards from this cache towards ASD#3 the footpath is on the east side of the ditch here.
