Rompin Grounds, The bridge. Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Pinewolve: Removed the cache per previous message and for the reason that the original reason for putting it in this location has been claimed by nature. May hide a new one near the area but until then the area has been opened up for a new hide.

Geocache Description:

Decon container out on trail 6 Yellow at Oakly Corners State Lands near Endicott and Newark Valley.

A bridge is classified as "a structure carrying a road, path, railroad, or canal across a river, ravine, road, railroad, or other obstacle." Throughout your hike to this area you will no doubt see several bridges, some of them man made, others naturally occurring such as a fallen tree. The location of this cache was originally put at the base of a naturally occurring bridge that I enjoyed crossing many times. While that bridge is no longer others still exist.
If you use the parking coordinates provided you will have about .7 miles of distance to the cache, a little more if you consider paths don't run straight. I have included a map of the trail system for this side of the state lands. Pets are welcome to romp.
