Next up on our caches dedicated to area bowling alleys is Brentwood Bowl.
Located in South San Francisco (the Industrial City, according to Sign Hill), it is the smallest of the alleys in the area, with 16 lanes. With the smaller size and nice spectator layout, it's a good place to come out to watch some bowling action. It seems like each year at least one tournament through the local association (which is the San Francisco USBC) is held at Brentwood. In 2012 they hosted the Open Championships (four person teams comprised of any combination of men and/or women) and I know at least one 300 game (the highest you can score in bowling) was rolled during it. (No, not by me.)
Above the lanes is a nicely painted mural of Millwood Ranch, which, ironically enough, is located in Pacifica. According to their website, they've been in business over 60 years which might make them the oldest in the area.
Like other alleys, along with bowling you could also play some arcade or pool games, hang out in the bar to watch some sporting events, or have a meal in their coffee shop. For a fun, festive experience, check out their Cyberbowl on a Friday or Saturday night. They turn up the music, turn down the regular lights and get that disco ball spinning!
If you don't feel you can beat your youngster's score, see if they'll let you put up the bumpers to give you an edge.
Cache isn't at posted coordinates, though it is within view of the bowling alley. You can find it here:
