There is a series of trails on the SW portion of Lake Mitchell. I'm sure they started out as deer trails that were discovered by the local youngsters that then used them to explore the "woods". The trail(s) you will be following connects the Kiwanis Woodlot Park and the Mitchell Prehistoric Indian Village archeological site and has been groomed somewhat. With all of the development around the lake, this area may be the only slice of nature trails left. You can park in the Prehistoric Indian Village lot.
