Vid Årås Bruk i Norra Råda tillverkades sulfitmassa.
Fabriken ägdes av Uddeholmsbolaget och anlades 1893.
Åråsfabriken brann ner till grunden 1914 och detta framtvingade
ett snabbt beslut om flytt och nybyggnation i Skoghall.

Årås Mill in Northern Rada made sulphite pulp.
The factory was owned by the Uddeholm Company and built 1893.
The mill burned to the ground in 1914 and this forced a quick decision
about relocation and new construction in Skoghall.
