Geocache Description:


This cache is located in an area of Roane County, known as Charles Fork Lake. This is located .93 mile off Rt.36. Go to the parking area that is on top right of the dam. Take the path on the right that has two wooden bridges, after you cross the last bridge head up hill. Stay in the open field until within 30’ of cache,

  • Misc. Charles Fork is a multi-use area with over 25 miles of trails surrounding a mile long lake that sports excellent fishing, canoeing, and hiking. Primitive camping is available. The lake in Roane County, West Virginia is owned by the City of Spencer and maintained by the Friends of Charles Fork Lake. The trails were developed by local mountain biking enthusiasts and are one of the most beautiful venues in the east. The mostly single-track trail system offers a rewarding experience for all levels of mountain bikers.
