This cache is located in an area of Roane County, known as Charles Fork Lake. This is located .93 mile off Rt.36. Go to the parking area that is on top right of the dam. Take the Charles Fork Nature Trail it crosses the dam on the left stay on the well-defined trail until you are within 15’ of cache.

Charles Fork is a multi-use area with over 25 miles of trails surrounding a mile long lake that sports excellent fishing, canoeing, and hiking. Primitive camping is available. The lake in Roane County, West Virginia is owned by the City of Spencer and maintained by the Friends of Charles Fork Lake.
The trails were developed by local mountain biking enthusiasts and are one of the most beautiful venues in the east. The mostly single-track trail system offers a rewarding experience for all levels of mountain bikers.
Charles Fork Lake is the site of the popular Tour de Lake Mountain Bike Race held annually the last weekend of July.
