An 'unusual' cache with only a notebook and 3 tiny items inside so you WILL need to bring your own pen. WILL NEED TWEEZERS!
Scouthal Burn is an old haunt of mine.(Well I used to call the area Scouthal Woods but there are no trees at this point!) When my family were young I used to frequently bring them here for a picnic and swim during the summer months. It has a lovely wee pier they would jump off into the beautiful brown burn water. They would climb on the bridge and race 'stick boats' downstream to the weir, which was not visible the day I visited to drop off the cache.
The bridge is still obvious from near the cache site.
Scouthal Burn has its source in the Flow Country of Caithness. It flows generally north/north-west across a distance of about 2Km to join the Strath Burn and so form the source of Wick River.
