Park and recreation area in Kolpino. Terrain rating may vary between 1.5 and 5 depending on season and conditions - though all cache visitors so far have reported easy access.
The park may be quite crowded at times, but it should be possible to find and log the cache relatively discreetly.
Due to the dam on the ижора river, Kolpino is divided by a big lake. On the lake there is an island, and on the island there is park area.
This is a popular recreation area for the locals. In the summer time people are grilling here, in the winter time people are going skiing in this park area, ice fishing on the lake and sometimes skating as well.
There is an artificial beach on the island, it even has changing boots - though it's not recommended to bath in the lake due to the pollution.
To the east of the cache there is a playground and some attractions (open in the summer time). My son is quite fascinated that when it's a lot of snow, the workers will clean "labyrinth"-like paths to access and maintain the attractions.
