This cache is placed near the row-house style gate of the Iwaoka family.
It is a daimyo's mansion gate of the former Edo Osaki foot of the castle wall.
This gate is said to have been reconstructed around 1845.
Cache is not in a site.
Since the area to inspect is restricted, please do not go into a prohibited area.

元江戸大崎城下の大名屋敷門です。弘化２年（1845）頃移築したものといわれています。
元禄（1690年代）頃より、村役などを務めた農家に限り長屋門を構えることが許されるようになったことから、岩岡家が代々名主などの家柄であったことがわかります。
Cacheは敷地内にはありません。見学するエリアが決められていますので中まで入らないようにしてください。
