Geocache Description:

This cache is not at the posted coordinates.

RayQix completed 1,000 consecutive days of caching on December 3, 2013.

This cache is placed in recognition of this milestone.

Most cachers like puzzles, so this should entertain them for a few minutes. The better you know Ray, the quicker you can solve this puzzle. Ray should know himself best, so hopefully he can obtain the solution quickly.

Great job RayQix!!!

RayQix created his caching name early in July of 2010. His first cache find was GC14WBV - Death or Taxes 14.25 which is quite appropriate since only one of these things is likely to be effective at forcing him to stop caching.

Ray’s first event was the Chesterfield M & G - August 2010 where 5Ray got to meet some of the serious “East Siders” as they are known in other parts of the state.

I met Ray at the famous 5 star Lefty cache. I was up at the terrifying height attempting to sign the log when Ray and Peepz arrived. I almost didn’t see them at first as I mistook them for ants approaching from the nose-bleed height of the cache container. I am glad they arrived, as they helped guide me safely back down to the ground with the cache container. Then 2Ray volunteered to go back up to replace the container as I was still shaky from the altitude change. He had been up to the top a week earlier and was familiar with the safe path to take. What a trooper!

It wasn’t long before Ray made the trip that most cachers only dream about. In October of 2010, Ray took a road trip with Peepz to the holy grail of geocaching: The Original Stash Tribute Plaque where the game all started! [Come back – insert audio clip of "Also sprach Zarathustra"]

In late August of 2010 Ray started releasing his PoP series of cache hides. This compendium is designed to give the player an insight into 3Ray’s youth and started the idea of sharing local history with the cache players.

In early 2011, Ray launched the Detroit Cinema History series. This series highlighted entertainment venues throughout the southeastern region of the state. The historical and educational value of these caches is tremendous. So much so that low end GPS’rs were unable to contain the volumes of data shared with the cache players.

Eventually 4Ray would expand the Detroit Cinema History series into the Michigan Cinema History series allowing him to further educate cache players on the entertainment history of the mitten.

In early 2012, Ray teamed up with N8DXG to release the 200 cache power trail encircling the beautiful city of Detroit. This “Outer Drive” series again was designed to highlight some of the historic early neighborhoods of the area.

Also in early 2012, 9Ray branched out of his DCH and MCH series and turned to educating the player about transportation. The DTH & MTH-Series of caches are dedicated to the rich history of Transportation in and around the City of Detroit and State of Michigan. These caches will give you a glimpse into the many things that are related to the past, present, and future parts of Transportation-related items with the area. In late 2012, Ray broke out of the mold of an ‘Urban’ hider and launched a brief foray into the wild with his “… In The Woods” series. I haven’t done any of these yet, but I hear they are great way to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and commune with nature!

In 2013, 5Ray and fellow cacher PaRaDiZ found themselves to be more than a couple. In September RayQix and PaRaDiZ introduced the caching world to KacheHuntR [Come Back – add url http://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC4P81P_pop-new-beginnings-kachehuntr]

On November 6th, 2013 RayQix hit another major milestone, or as I like to say “Milestone X 3”

Ray, I hope you enjoy the next 3000 and beyond!
