Geocache Description:

Welcome to Platte Ridge Park

This park is host to several cross country events for the local high schools. Park by the lake and small shelter. Follow the path around to the back of the park and you will pass by this cache. Please replace the cache as you found it or better. The area behind the fence is not where the cache is and as you can see by the signs it is off limits. If you listen close at ground zero and are lucky you might hear voices....if you do mention them in your log. Let us know what you heard!

This is one of several parks owned and operated by Platte County Parks and Recreation. At Platte Ridge you will find a nice size playground, several baseball fields, a picnic shelter, walking trails and a large parking lot, and who could forget a couple of geocaches. No night caching is allowed, park hours are from dawn to dusk. Also please park at the provided waypoint and do not approach the cache from or park in the private driveway that runs along the south edge of the park outside the fence.

This cache has been placed and maintained by the Platte County Parks and Recreation Department. If the cache has been vandalized, missing or contains inappropriate material inside, please report it by emailing:platteparksmo@gmail.com.

Please feel free to explore this park and enjoy its beautiful scenery. We hope you enjoy this park and please check out our other parks and locations at this link. Platte County Parks.
