This is a nice walk in lovely woodland that continues on from behind the standing stones at Easter Aquorthies (and the Geohenge cache placed by Doodledogs).
It is possible to take a circular route to get to this cache, which shouldn't take more than an hour at a bimble and allowing for mud-baths. Follow the Forestry Commission road all the way round as it circles to the left. The road lasts for about three quarters of the way round and is extremely good, however the last section we take to get to the cache is a track. This and the others criss-crossing the wood are usually not too bad, but they can get a bit muddy in places.
If you prefer something shorter, taking the road down to the waypoint and following the track down from there is probably the easiest and most direct route to the cache, and should only take about 40 minutes all in.
The cache is at the edge of the grounds, beside an old wire fence. If you look out at the view from GZ you should see a stone wall not far to your right heading off into the fields.
Parking is at the Easter Auquorthies stone circle car park. Please bring your own pen.
