The Spy Who Stoned Me Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

GeoMonkey_AB: With 2 DNF's I figured it was time to check on this rather easy find. As suspected the cache is in fact missing. Given the amount of traffic in this area of the park and the beer cans, etc. that I CITO'd from GZ I have decided not to replace it. Thanks to everyone that came out to find this one!

Geocache Description:

At the Geocaching 101: An Introduction to the World of Geocaching event I overheard a couple of geocachers talking about an international incident involving a fake rock, a Russian park, and an embarrassing admission by MI-6. When I got home I jumped on Google and searched out the story. Along the way I came across several stories and forums that compared the British "spy rock" with a geocache and the agents caught on film with cachers out searching for caches.

I must admit after watching the footage the agents really do look like geocachers and the rock does look like a geocache. The footage got me thinking about all the different things muggles must think cachers are doing when we are out in search of the ever elusive smiley. I guess we can add international espionage to the list!

Don't forget to bring your own writing stick. Enjoy!

Congratulations to Unclesam1111, dscanland and Hedgehog's spoon on their shared FTF!
