Geocache Description:

Part of a short series of caches named after our geohound Rufus, the Border Terrier. The caches are on a circular route which Rufus loves as one of his regular walks. The views around this walk are spectacular.

This cache is located at the boundary between two counties, Lancashire and Greater Manchester. Before 1 April 1974 this was purely an Urban District Boundary as Greater Manchester did not exist as a county in its own right until then. Indeed, before that date, it was still part of Lancashire.
