Update July 8,07. We are changing the rating of KIDS+ temporarily
due to the extreme weather we had recently in central Texas. If you
visit KIDS+, please dress for thorny vegetation and use bug spray
for protection. Once things dry out and return to normal, we will
return the rating to the original levels. LONG LIVE KIDS+!! Take a
swim, have a picnic and let the kids run free. Then look near the
Pound House and you will see a big and burly old oak tree.
No path will guide you through the bushes and vines so be
careful you don't get stuck in the behind. This is mostly a kids
item cache so items include pencil box, coin purse, soccer ball
yoyo, Kaleidescope, bubbles, stamp set,skull ring, stickers, fake
beer and McDonalds toy. Adult items include a utility knife, cork
screw and First aid kit (may be needed if you don't wear protection
against the low level stickers found during the last few feet of
the search)
Look for the Octopus tree having 8 main branches, some larger
than others. Update: Visited the cache on 7/30/02. Changed the
difficulty and terrain to 1/1 as there is no longer wet ground and
the stickers seem to have receded somewhat. Update 8/3/06 This
cache was originally left on Feb. of 2002, therefore the original
items listed above are all gone. Long live KIDS+ !!
Update 10/29-06 Cache still in good shape. Original logbook has
been filled and new one was inserted. Stickers are still present so
wear long pants and no sandals. 5+ years and still going!
