Gollum is watching you on your quest, he may show up every now and then.... there is parking for a couple of cars in a lay-by on the corner of Bridge street and high street, the entrance to the common is by the painted island through a gate by a signpost that reads Clayhanger Common, it can get busy with dog walkers so stealth is a must A word of warning, you can find yourself on the wrong side of this one (see cachers logs) and think you can’t get it, I have averaged the coordinates numerous times so I know they are accurate.
