A simple cache at a location with a view. Take some time and enjoy the path over the roadway below.
The name for this cache is based on the 2011 course for the Akron Half Marathon. The course was changed for the 10th anniversary of the race in 2012 but in 2011 the race route included the nearby bridge. After running down Howard Street a quick left turn put the runners at the Bike & Hike paths. Full marathon runners split to the right and ran the trail past the Mustill Store for four miles before resuming the road portion of the course. Half marathon runners (now at mile 11 of the 13.1 mile race) split to the left and ran the 3/4 of a mile along the path up a 5% grade and across the pedestrian bridge you can see from the cache location, before resuming the final portion of their race.
