Fabulous February 29 - Leap Year Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

.K.B.: It is unfortunate that yet again, people have waited until I have begun hiding a series of caches to use the same region for other purposes. As such, I have made the decision to remove these caches and place them elsewhere.

Geocache Description:

The final cache in the series that celebrated 2012 being a leap year so February having an additional day.

The series has been both a joy and, at times, an obligation for me. What started as a couple of caches has finally become the full 29. I have a new appreciation of what it takes to hide a series of caches. Dianella and the surrounding suburbs are now awash with caches!

I have read every log made on the series, and appreciated the feedback. I try to give constructive criticism and expect to receive it in return.

Most interesting for me is reading about ChrisRG's morning runs. Most frustrating is the totally unnecessary destruction of the innocent paperbark at Shake and Twist in Yokine. I wait in anticipation to read about the FTFs, and am excited when it's a newb.

Many thanks to the UMP for publishing so promptly and being so patient.

Not surprisingly the DNFs have been few....that's the way it would be in my ideal caching world. Currently there are 29 active caches and none of them are nanos. Many are in recycled containers. Very few are in anything resembling bush. Most are accessible by bike. My ideal world.

This final cache is not like the rest. The coords are accurate....I've checked on 3 separate days and when standing at GZ I get a reading less than 2 metres each time at the stated coordinate.

There are a couple of moderately decent prizes for the first 2 finders and a couple of tiny swaps so the log doesn't get lonely.

There are no hints and, for once, I'm not telling you exactly where it is. The coords will take you to GZ and you can search for yourself. Despite being in low grade bush, GZ is visible from the nearby path and road so some stealth would be appreciated. If you can't respect the environment in which the cache is hidden please don't visit this cache.

There is parking near the cache at the Inglewood Little Athletics and Dianella White Eagles Soccer Club.

Enjoy. I can't wait for March to roll over so I can start finding some caches instead of hiding them!

Happy Birthday to The Machman - what a day for a celebration!!
