Geocache Description:

This cache is on Spring Lake Preserve. Depending on where you park, you'll face a hike of somewhere between 1 and 3 miles. Terrain near the cache is flat with the occasional cactus, so be careful.

While you're here, be sure to check out all of the other caches in this park. They are all well worth your time.

This cache may sound scary, but don't worry. You'll understand once you see the container. However, in the warmer seasons of the year, you'd be wise to keep an eye out for snakes, as they could certainly be in the area.

Only the most intrepid cachers are willing to find a nanocache off the beaten path in a big nature preserve, and it's to you who fit that type that I dedicate this cache. San Marcos is a great little town with a thriving geocaching community, and this cache is also dedicated to those who keep us all on the hunt here!

Cache is fairly easy to access, though some bushwhacking will be required. So that the log doesn't get stuck, please leave it sticking out of the inner container a little, as I have at its placement.
