The March Triangle Madness (mTm) series includes 144 caches laid out in the high desert juniper forest on BLM land east of the Redmond airport and North Canal, north of the Powell Butte Highway, south of Highway 126 and west of Cavalry/McCaffery road. This property is managed in conjunction with the BIAK Training Center for the Oregon Army National Guard. I have discussed the placement of the caches with BIAK personnel and have been given the green light on their placement. However, they asked that I advise cachers that on the weekends, particularly when there is nice weather, there may be many uniformed muggles in the area doing training exercises.
The triangles are equilateral triangles with each side being 1/3 of a mile. There are a total of 215 triangles. No matter where you begin, the next closest cache in the series is going to be 1/3 of a mile away. This series will make sure you don't miss seeing much in this parcel of BLM land.
All of the containers are the same and the hides are similar, depending on the location. Happy Caching and the layout can be seen below. The blank area within the matrix is private property so please do not trespass.
