Geocache Description:

Come on out and celebrate Earth Day 2012 as we help clean up the Stiles and Hart Conservation Area in Bridgewater.

The seventy acre Stiles and Hart Conservation Area was once home to the Plymouth County Agricultural Society Fairgrounds-complete with an exhibition hall, grandstand, and a quarter-mile trotting track.

Begining in 1895, the site was used for the mining of clay and the production of bricks up until the early 1900’s. Today the site is part of the ‘Nunckatessett Greenway’.

The site is home to one of the most interesting caches in the area 'The Claybanks'. Thanks to some maintenance by LHollo777, the cache is still running in great shape. There will also be some new caches released the morning of the event, so you'll be able to help clean up the environment and come away with some smilies for your efforts!

We'll be getting underway at 8:00 a.m. The site is easy to find right along Route 18 near Campus Plaza. The best parking is behind the McDonalds. There will be coffee and donuts. We'll also have work gloves, rakes, shovels and wheel barrows to use, but feel free to bring your own. At 11:00 a.m. we'll raffle off a free CITO Geocoin and maybe some other stuff. Donations of raffle items gladly accepted.

Be sure to watch this page for updates. We hope to see you there!
