Geocache Description:

Welcome to our lovely city. We hope we can show some nice or/and strange places, which can not be found with a travel guide. You can find new buildings, old palaces, and ugly socreal-style buildings. They belong to Debrecen, we love this city in this form.

This building was a private hotel for some years, now it is the county hall. There was a small wood "bridge" between the two ends (Big Church, County Hall) of the downtown.

Isten hozott szeretett városunkban. Reméljük olyan helyekre is elviszünk, ahová az útikönyvek biztosan nem. Találsz itt modern új épületeket, patinás palotákat, borzalmas szocreálokat. Mindez nekünk Debrecen, így szeretjük.

A Megyeháza 1911-1912 között épült, sokáig magánszállodaként üzemelt. Itt ért véget a Nagytemplomnál kezdődő 670 méter hosszú fahíd, amelyen száraz lábbal járhattak a cívisek. Homlokzatán pécsi Zsolnay-gyár pirogránit díszítőelemeivel, virágfüzérekkel és négy fegyveres hajdú szobrával díszítve, építése idején idáig tartott a történelmi belváros.
