Five Guys Named Moe

17/04/2014: The cache has been moved from its original location. See log entry for details.

At a recent caching event, I overheard a group of friends planning the placement of a new cache. In fact I overheard quite a bit about their varied caching adventures. And thanks to their name tags, I knew who was who and could even see their avatars. At the end of the evening, I noticed they'd left an interesting scrap of paper on the table.

Now that I've had a chance to study it a bit closer, I can only assume that it conceals the location of their new cache. To stand any chance of finding the coordinates, I need to piece together all that I learnt about the five cachers.

Unfortunately, my memory is a bit of a mess, but I do remember this about the Five Guys Named Moe:

  • Big Moe isn't into long hikes.
  • The cacher with the film star avatar likes Church Micros.
  • Four-Eyed Moe doesn't use his smartphone for caching, but he always has plenty of spare batteries.
  • No Moe doesn't use a smartphone either.
  • Little Moe's essential kit doesn't include binoculars.
  • The cacher whose avatar is a self-portrait doesn't have a GPSr (he relies on paper maps and cacher's instinct).
  • Four-Eyed Moe isn't a fan of circular trails.
  • The cacher with the top of the range GPSr enjoys a good long hike to a cache.
  • No Moe likes extreme caches; his avatar is not a team logo.
  • The cacher who uses his car satnav for caching never leaves home without his wind-up torch; this isn't Eat Moe.
  • Little Moe uses an entry level GPSr; his avatar is not a cartoon character.
  • The cacher who likes solving puzzles doesn't carry a hip flask.
  • Big Moe's avatar is a photo of the family Geodog; he doesn't have a smartphone.
  • The five cachers are Big Moe, the cacher who uses an entry level GPSr, the cacher who's never without his penknife, the cacher who enjoys circular trails, and the cacher whose avatar is his team's logo.
