私は和田堀公園のヒコーキ広場のどこかにcacheを蓄えました。
公園概要
白山前橋から下流、済美橋まで12の橋にまたがる公園です。
和田堀周辺はもともと地盤が低く、善福寺川の氾濫などで自然に池ができるような地形でした。
昭和30年代の中頃、河川を改修したときに人工の池を造り、周辺を整備して公園にしました。
この和田堀池は、深い緑に囲まれて静かな雰囲気をかもしだしています。
池には大小二つの中島があり、都内では数少なくなった珍しい野鳥が棲んでいます。
川の南側には、大宮八幡宮があり、和田堀公園のアカマツ林と一体となり森をつくっています。
