Geocache Description:

It is Kokubu Station in the central part of Kirishima. This town is a town of the second scale in Kagoshima Prefecture. KAGOSHIMA AIRPORT is near the here. Since there is a bus line from a station also to an airport, it is convenient.

花は霧島～♪煙草は～国分～♪の国分駅です。 夏は米作り、冬は煙草の葉を栽培するのが盛んでした。 今でも煙草の葉を栽培する農家は多いのですが、京セラ、ソニーと ハイテク工場が立ち並ぶ町となっています。 霧島市の中心部、国分駅へようこそ。
