Geocache Description:

Another location that I have been eye-balling for some time and finally made it to location to place a cache. Actually placed 4 cache containers before finally settling on one that I liked and its location.

Anyway, not much in geocaches in this part of Doniphan County, KS. Figured at least one cache should do to boost tourism to this part of the state.

Thought that this was a neat little cemetery, spent some time exploring the area after placing cache. This is very REMOTE cache location, so prepare accordingly.

Note: all roads and spellings that are mentioned are taken from actual signs of route driven to cache location.

To get to this cache location, if you are not familiar with the area (like me, again) SUGGEST the following: Drive north on KS Hwy 7 until it intersects with Symns Road/330th Road. Head east on said road until it intersects with Larkenburg Road, a BLUE sign (going north) / 330th Road (going straight into someones barn) / Sedgwick Road (going south).

FOLLOW the BLUE sign that reads LARKENBURG ROAD to the north; in a short distance it will hook east. My vehicular GPS and Google Map labeled this road as Sedgwick Road the entire route.

Anyway, continue following Larkenburg Road, - eventually it will be re-named 100th Road after crossing the county line. You will pass through a handful of intersections on your journey.

CONTINUE on 100th Road until it cannot go straight any further; there will be a gated fence blocking your advance and only one direction of roadway to follow at this point. This will be the intersection with MOON LIGHT ROAD.

Turn south onto Moon Light Road until it EMPTIES into Doniphan Cemetery. The road will fork slightly to the left here and go down into a valley and turns into dirt - DO NOT FOLLOW that fork.

As for the cache container, it is a PILL BOTTLE hidden inside something white; about 3' high; and hollow. A lone grave site (S.M. Bell 1816-1875) is close by as well.

Remember that this is a cemetery and please follow any/all rules/regulations that may be posted and that we have all read on other cemetery page write-ups.

UPDATE: November 01, 2015 - Placed a new container at site. Previous visitors, and the elements, pretty much destroyed original container.

UPDATE: June 08, 2019 - Massive changes to the area since last maintenance check. Adjusts coordinates for new hiding location; updated page write-up; updated D/T ratings.

UPDATE: February 08, 2020 - Visited site and retrieved original container that another visitor recently found. Only container that should be found is what is described in the page write-up.
