This cache was placed in preparation for the Island Spirit mega event that took place on July 7th, 2012. WestCan is a Canadian legacy series of mega events to support rural economic development in Western Canada. Island Spirit 2012 carried the torch as WestCan2 following on the heels of the success of Best of the Bad WestCan1 Mega Event. The event was a great success.
