This ride of mine is part of a greater trail to honour all those
who travel on two wheels.
This is one of seventeen caches along the bikeway ending near Newmarket,
where I usually seek out a coffee and/or a bakery to recharge for my
journey home.
BYO Ink - to decipher for newbies .....ensure you bring something to sign the log with.
This section of the power trail follows along a local creek which has quite
a few spots where you can access the creek. Some parts of this creek are deep
enough to have swimming holes and rope swings. The is plenty of birdlife,
water dragons and other animals that live near this creek and can be seen
at various times and along various sections if you are quiet. There is always
plenty of bird life as well going through the trees such as Cockatoos,
parrots and other small birds.
As this path can be quite busy at times with morning walkers, school children
(before and after school) and other cyclists please be stealthy. Please return
caches to their original hiding spots and cover over with leaf litter/rocks if
necessary. Most caches are right beside the path, if not, it is less than 5m
from the path. Please take care when walking through the vegetation.
A special thanks to barbbowman and Brother Colin for joining in on this venture.
Hope to see you out on the trails
