Geocache Description:

Plenty of parking available at this site. Close walk to the cache. Be careful when you get to GZ. There is a blue button on container that moves up and down that you have to push to open. Might have to move the button to get it to open and close. Any problems let me know, just trying these containers out.

One of the 11 Locks of the Muskingham River System. Located just outside of McConnelsville, Ohio. Part of the system that connected the Ohio River in Marietta to Lake Erie. Still usable today. Was built in the 1840's.
These locks are so interesting and amazing how they work. Would love to see them in operation some day. Maybe with some luck you can see them in operation while you are here. They are still available for us by recreational boaters for a fee. Permission granted to place this cache by Mike Jarvis of the Park Systems.
CONGRATULATIONS TO HOGHUNTERS57 FOR THE FTF!!!!!
