Geocache Description:

Local shops that sit outside the 'gates' (gates now being barriers!) at Frinton-on-Sea.A high muggle area in the daytime.

Here is where I spent much of my pocket money as a child. Mr and Mrs Starling, have long since left the sweet shop, but I remember walking round from the park (we called it the rec' then) to buy a big bag of sweets, while dad played football! Of the many old favourites, some still survive, but are somewhat different in appearance or taste. My sweet tooth is still evident though!

The nearest of the three shops, used to be a stamp collecting shop. I started collecting myself because of this shop. I used to buy bags of mixed British used stamps for a few pence, or small collections in cellophane, of colourful animals, flowers, space travel and such like.

Cache contains log only.
