Geocache Description:

The National Trust's Roseberry Romp

This series of caches will take you on a circular walk around Roseberry Topping of around 5 miles. Some caches are small and well hidden, while other are large with plenty of room for swaps.

The National Trust is a charity that protects special places in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, for ever, for everyone

Pipits are birds that look like a small thrush - brown upper parts and speckled below. Two types of pipit breed at Roseberry - the meadow pipit and the less common tree pipit.

Although they may not be much to look at, they are great to watch in spring when they perform their parachuting display flights. They fly up into the air before gliding back down in a spiral, singing all the way. And the way to tell the difference? If it finishes its flight on a tree, then the chances are it's a tree pipit. If it lands in the grass, then it's a meadow pipit!

This is a disguised micro cache, so no room for swaps, travelbugs or geocoins. A pair of tweezers might prove handy for extracting the log and you'll need to bring your own pen.

This cache may turn out to be a little fragile, so please be careful when opening it. If it does come apart, please let me know in your log so I can fix it.
