7th Annual Rawlins Brownbag Event Event Cache

It is almost time again for the Annual Rawlins Brownbag event. This event will be held at Washington Park here in Rawlins again. We have had it at this park 6 of the 7 years that it has been held because all the facilities are here and it is a lovely area. This edition of the Brownbag will be just like previous years in as much as we will have a meet and greet, lunch and geopoker run. I am hopeful the weather will be nice this year but one never knows so bring clothing for cold, wet weather just in case.

When: Saturday June 9, 2012 at 10:00 a.m.
10:00 a.m. to Noon: Registration / Meet and Greet
Noon to 12:30 p.m.: Lunch
12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.: GeoPoker Run
2:00 p.m.: Raffle drawings
2:30 p.m.: WAG Annual State Meeting

We will supply soda and water but if you would like something else to drink, bring that with you. Please bring a sack lunch or fast-food meal of some kind for your group. We hope to see you here in Rawlins in June and until then, happy caching!

Since the resignation of the President and Secretary/Treasurer of WAG, there has been some speculation about the future of WAG. It was assumed that WAG could not and would not continue to exist but then I was contacted by Kim of Corkibean, the one remaining officer. He thinks it would be appropriate that we still have a state meeting this year even with current uncertainty. He feels the membership deserve for their voice to be heard. It will be determined at this meeting if there is anybody out there who is willing to take over an office and continue with WAG's existence. So that is how things stand at this point. The annual state meeting will take place right after the conclusion to the Brownbag where a vote will be taken to see if WAG can and/or will continue. So if you have an opinion, one way or the other and want it heard, plan on attending this event.
