Come and join us at Fife's first camping event with braw views over the Eden estuary and towards St.Andrews. Being held on the weekend of the 8th to 10th June at Knockhill of Nydie Campsite, a small family run campsite with pitches for tents, caravans and campervans. They also have a number of wigwam type wooden huts for hire for those not wishing to rough it!
Dogs and even children are welcome.
to book your pitch click the link, (visit link) and fill in online form,
remember to state that you are a cacher attending the geocaching event, that way we should all be kept together, snorers need not mention anything!!
Now to details of the event
Friday
Plan is to have a quiet sociable evening, maybe send someone down to the chippie for food. For those who want to, there's even some caches in the area
Saturday
Laze about the camp site, enjoy St Andrews and its beaches, cafes, ice cream shops, cafes, ruins, cafes.
For those who want to find plastic your choices are vast, here's a few suggestions; The Fife Coastal Path (If you need a lift or pick up let us know), The chain walk, St. Andrews (don't forget to pop into B. Jannetta for an ice cream!), Dunino Den, Tentsmuir Forest (including the nudist beach!), The Lomonds, Falkland, ............ to much to mention.
We plan to do chilli, both meat and vegie variety, in the evening to go along with the usual sociable drinkie, there will be a small charge of a few pounds to cover the cost of the food.
Sunday
Another lazy day, some more hunting for plastic, pack up for some perhaps
Note 1!
Now another important thing to note, unlike at previous camping events where you have all been spoilt rotten, apart from the bbq or what ever on the Saturday night, you will have to do your own cooking, this means getting out your sleeping bags that few minutes earlier and flashing up the gas stoves and making your own breakfast.................................
for those who can't do this, there is a cafe about 5 minutes away near Strathkinnes!!
note 2!
Day visitors are welcome however there is very limited parking and we have to give consideration to the cook, aye me! I needs to know well in advance so we dinnae run oot o grub!
Please post something on the event page and keep it updated!!
