I love Old Buildings.
I remember this building as the Rees School. It was built in the late 1930’s. I can’t remember when they stopped using it, but it looks like the new Rees School was built around 2002.
In 2003 they talked of tearing down the building to build twin homes; but some of the local residence, did not want the building torn down.
In 2010, an outside company planned to buy and remodel the school and make it into a home for troubled teen-aged girls. That was supposed to be done by 2011.
The sign on the front of the building now reads, "American Heritage School", So I don't know if they used the building or was going to.
Now the building is left abandoned, with a fence around with no trespassing signs on the fences. This cache is not behind any fence and doesn’t require trespassing.
