Welcome to Earth Day 2012. The weekend of Earth Day 2012 also happens to be the 10th Annual Cache In Trash Out Events anniversary weekend. What better way to celebrate Earth Day and this milestone than to get out and help the community clean up a little litter and to learn to identify Alien Plants (invasive) such as Garlic Mustard and to remove them.
This is a West Bloomfield Parks & Recreation hosted event that is looking for volunteers of all ages. They will even provide a letter for a child if they have volunteer requirements to meet for school.
If you would like to come out and join the Siporin family of cachers on this great day, we would be happy to see you. West Bloomfield Parks & Rec will have their Naturalist out to teach everyone how to care for the land and to protect it. They will also be providing the supplies, so they ask that you call and register for the event so they have a accurate count of the number of supplies that they need.
This is a free event open to any one who would like to join. Just call them at 248-451-1900 or 248-451-1901 to register. You can also register on their website that I have added to this listing as a related webpage or by clicking the following link: WBPR
The code # for their event is 128940-1A and it is taking place from 10:00am to 11:30am.
If you have never visited this area, it is very nice. After the event, you can walk the trails behind the city offices and grab the few Geocaches that are back there as well.
Hope to see you all there!!
