This is in a beautiful section of the Credit River Valley.
I once did a bushwack to a cache (GCNWJA) that I found exremely dense. When I finally reached the cache, I wrote in the log book "If I don't make it back out of here, tell my wife I love her".
This cache is a tribute to that day. Although the ground cover of this one is no way near the severity, it certainly is a much longer walk in and elevation fluctuations become a factor.
I never would have thought that such a large tract of forest remained cache free in the heart of Mississauga. I guess it's because it's a difficult area to access. Just finding your way in contributes to the difficulty level I set for the terrain.
You'll most likely run into some deer in the area, as I did. Rumour has it that there's some forgotten soldiers down there from the War of 1812 that don't know it's over yet.
FTF...An Easter Bunny (I intended to leave a twoonie, with the Easter Bunny as a seasonal bonus, but I got back to the car after planting the cache and then realized I forgot to put it in.....and I wasn't willing to make that hike in again)
CONGRATULATIONS to GOUG on the FTF...and thanks for posting your pictures of the deer.
