There have been hundreds of paleontological discoveries in Montana, including several T-Rex fossils. Naturally there are many amateurs who go out daily seeking similar discoveries.
Some never return.
Depending on the time of year you go for this find, you may have to wade, dodge hunters, and/or bushwack a lot. I believe the closest way is from the bridge access to the north. There may be other access points, but I don't know of any. Please don't mess around on private property either way.
