Another historic location in our quest to find interesting spots in and around the Black Hills of SD. When we see places like this, we always wonder what history lies here. Who lived here, what were their dreams, their goals? What was it like living here? What eventually happened to the residents?
The old stone house and cache are located about 1/2 mile south of Snoma Road in Butte County SD. Please do NOT cross the fence or gate to get inside, as it is on private land.
You are looking for a simple magnetic tube (soda preform) in an obvious spot at the published coordinates. Please return it to the exact location so it remains hidden from traffic. Please bring your own pen or pencil, as there may or may not be one in the cache.
